France certainly has every reason to be proud of this beautiful and magical resort. The village itself is filled with alpine charm, friendly locals, charming Megeve chalets and is surrounded by the most stunning scenery. It is a firm favourite amongst France's elite who faithfully return year after year, although more international visitors are starting to discover its charms too.
INTRODUCTION
A typical chocolate-box style alpine village, the Megeve accommodation largely comprises of privately owned traditional ski chalets which have been built to very high standards and are in keeping with the authentic alpine style of the town. The village itself has a medieval pedestrianised centre with a 13th Century church taking centre stage. By taking any one of the narrow cobbled streets that lead from the square you will soon discover some fantastic Megeve apartments, fabulous fine dining restaurants and friendly bars, one such bar is the infamous jazz club and is a must visit. The ski area is extensive with an offering of 445 km well maintained pistes. For the beginner to intermediate skier there are plenty of long gentle greens runs and cruisy blues. For the more advanced skiers we recommend heading off with a ski guide to uncover some more challenging terrain off piste. For those not wanting to ski there are many Megeve chalets and mountain restaurants where you can just relax for hours soaking up the fresh alpine atmosphere and ambiance. The local sports centre is one of the best in a ski resort and has a beautiful indoor pool, a sauna and steam room, ice skating and a well equipped gym. Once the day comes to a close, sit back and relax in the fantastic Megeve accommodation that is available in and around the village.
