CHALET DETAILS
The Lodge can accommodate up to 18 adults in 9 bedrooms and up to 6 children and young adults in a specially designed bunkroom.
Thirteen members of staff will ensure every need is catered for by offering the highest level of service and attention to detail perfected from their years on Necker Island.
The Lodge offers you every chance to relax and unwind. There’s the in-house spa where guests can treat themselves to a treatment, an indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi to soak in or take a dip in the 9m indoor pool. There is also a gymnasium for the more active guest. Or simply relax in the lounge in front of a roaring fire curled up on a comfy sofa.
For those looking to let their hair down, there is a party room downstairs where you can shoot some pool or dance the night away all underneath a twinkling disco ball. Once a week you can listen to live music from local talented musicians.
If you want to take it easy, the staff can pop on a film for you and your friends or family on the large plasma screen (there is a great selection of DVDs) while you enjoy a few drinks from the bar. There's even a private ice rink if you fancy a twirl.
Each day the staff will book a table for lunch somewhere on the slopes. If you make it back to The Lodge for lunch, or if you choose to stay behind during the day, a light lunch will be served (included in the rates). All guests are encouraged to treat The Lodge like their own home and are welcome to help themselves to drinks they want at any time.

TIPPING SUGGESTIONS
In restaurants a service charge is built into menu prices. However, it's customary to round up amounts when paying the waiter or waitress if you're happy with the service. This means that you might hand the server CHF 50 for a CHF 47 meal. If you're paying by credit card, hand the server a cash tip of up to 5%. For Taxis as in restaurants, round up or add 5% when you're happy with the service. Tips to your chalet staff are entirely at your discretion.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE FORMALITIES
Travel documents are your responsibility. In general you should have: a signed, valid passport that will remain valid for at least 6 months beyond the completion of your trip. Your passport must have enough blank pages (excluding amendment pages) available for entry and exit stamps issued when entering and exiting immigration points. Visas are required for certain nationalities and you are strongly advised to check your status allowing plenty of time for visa application.

WEATHER
Switzerland's winter temperature range is -2 °C (28 °F) to 7 °C (45 °F), with the snow remaining in the Alps until around April. Visitors should wear warm, waterproof clothing at all times when outdoors during the winter. Hats and gloves are also essential to prevent frostbite. Sunglasses or ski goggles are also necessary to reduce the glare of the sun on the snow.
HEALTH
It is advisable to contact your doctor before you travel if you have any specific health concerns and imperative to take out appropriate travel and medical insurance. Winter sports involve a high degree of risk and you should be in good health and carry adequate medical insurance in case of winter sports accident, including cover for air ambulance.
