Famed for possessing the largest quantity of fine mountain restaurants than anywhere else in the Alps, Zermatt is a ski resort that offers that something extra for the person who has seen and done everything. Boasting standards of mountain cuisine exceptional enough to be Michelin star rated, A&K Ski have teamed up with some of the finest providers in resort to ensure that Switzerland’s best kept secret is revealed to those who venture over.
We know that a ski holiday is not all about the skiing and for those who have carved their tracks in most mountainsides, the need to satisfy your next ‘fix’ is forever prevalent. But you need not look any further, A&K Ski have your antidote...Gourmet Ski Guiding.
The best of these slope-side spots require advance booking, expert knowledge of menus and wines list as well as good map reading skills. That is why we have the crème de la crème in the business, resident expert Donald Scott, to guide you through one of the largest ski areas in the Alps. With over 20 years of experience, Donald certainly knows his Sassicaias from his Latours. For up to five days, you will be collected from your chalet and directed to a different mountain restaurant every day. Your table will be booked for you and will be patiently waiting whilst you lap up the fresh morning air on the slopes with Donald building up an appetite for the gourmet delicacy awaiting your arrival.
And to complete your week, exclusive to A&K guests, we have prepared an evening dinner in chalet that is designed around showcasing Switzerland’s hidden secret...their fabulous local wines. The cantons of Geneva, Vaud and Valais have many small and passionate winemakers with many of their wines being made from rare grape varieties which grow nowhere else. Swiss whites are award-winning and world class, but because of the small quantities made, they are very rarely found abroad.
Your dinner will include a carefully selected menu to perfectly complement these local Swiss wines, both red and white, prepared for you by your chef in the comfort of your chalet.
A fully catered week’s stay in the luxury, designer Heinz Julen Penthouse including 5 days on the slopes with Donald and this exclusive evening meal in-chalet will cost from $3,150 per person, based on 4 guests.
The incredibly stylish and original Heinz Julen Penthouse has been designed by Zermatt's internationally acclaimed architect, Heinz Julen himself! The double level 260m2 Penthouse is filled with original hand-made furniture (including Julen's famous chandeliers and chairs) and special unique design features such as a fireplace nestling in the middle of the living room window.
